Respected Sir,

It gives me immense pleasure in preparing this report about ISKSAA - Fortis Delhi fellowship for the year 2022 at Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj, Delhi. I would like to thank Dr. Lalit Maini and Dr Pushpinder Bajaj for considering me for this programme and giving me an opportunity for the same.

I started the 2 weeks programme along with my co-fellow Dr Shezan Iqbal in the month of February, 2023. I really like the humble nature of Dr Gurinder Bedi and his care for his fellows. During my 2 weeks programme at Fortis, Vasant Kunj, Dr Bedi made sure that we get to have as much exposure of the clinical field as possible. He was also very keen in discussing the topics and suggesting best treatment protocols. I liked his interactions about the case before OT (what is the plan?) , During OT ( what is being done ?) and in Post OP (what have we done and what else we could have done for further improvement ?)

We also met 2 eminent surgeons in the team of Dr Gurinder Bedi, i.e. Dr Vishwadeep and Dr Shuvendu Roy. I liked the knowledge and skills of Dr Vishwadeep and also the cool headedness of Dr Shuvendu Roy while doing surgery. We got to see various TKR’s, Primary & Revision THR’s, Arthroscopies of Knee and Shoulder, Trauma and Reconstructive Surgeries. It was a centre which had a wide variety of exposure of various Orthopedic Cases and under the guidance of Dr Bedi and team, everything was being managed in a very streamlined and efficient way.

I also liked the Radiology department and eagerness of radiologists to discuss the scans with Dr Bedi and Team and also help us understand the sections and cuts of various MRI’s and CT’s.

At the end, after a good overall exposure in the field of Arthroplasty, Arthroscopy & Sports medicine and Trauma at Fortis, Vasantkunj, New Delhi, I returned back with a lot of memories, experience and support of Dr Gurinder Bedi and Team.

I would again like to thank Dr Lalit Maini and Dr Pushpinder Bajaj for giving me this opportunity for clinical exposure in the fields of Arthroplasty and Arthroscopy and looking forward for more such oppurtunities at upcoming ISKSAA Fellowship programmes.
