ISKSAA DELHI TRAVELLING FELLOWSHIP 2022
Respected Sirs,
I am grateful for being selected for ISKSAA Delhi travelling fellowship 2022 (2 weeks) under the
mentorship of Respected Prof Lalit Maini.
I was fortunate to have Dr (Lt Col) Ajit Bhaskarwar as my co-fellow. He was a great companion in
this journey sharing knowledge, travels, meals, etc. making the voyage ecstatic.
Considering our convenience, the program was scheduled from 26.06.2023 to 08.07.2023. These 2 weeks
were well-planned by Prof Maini, co-ordinating with various stalwarts of Orthopedics from renowned
institutes of Delhi.
We were offered rooms in MAMC guest house for a reasonable contribution. Being near to Metro station
it was the best place to accommodate and travel from; each day, different center.
We observed and assisted variety of Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty surgeries by:
Dr. Gurinder Bedi (Fortis, Vasant Kunj), Prof Vijay Kumar and Prof H.L. Nag (AIIMS, ND), Prof Lalit
Maini (MAMC), Dr. IPS Oberoi (Artemis, Gurgaon), Dr. Y. Kharbanda (Apollo, Jasola), Dr. Harpreet
Singh (ISIC), Dr. Deepak Joshi (SIC), Dr. Ramneek Mahajan (Max, Saket), Dr. Shekhar Srivastava (Sant
Parmanand). Each mentor and center welcoming us delightfully and having detailed discussions over
lunch.
We witnessed blend of surgeries of more than 60 joints: primary, complex, revision, knee, hip,
shoulder, total, partial, conventional, Robotic, 3D printing, VR assisted.
We learned tips and tricks about academic and life lessons viz. team work, work-life balance, pre-op
planning, techniques, skills and lots more.
Luckily, we got a chance to attend Arthrex Technology Symposium, where we met National and
International Arthroscopy Faculty and friends.
I am thankful to team ISKSAA, Dr Bajaj, Dr Maini and all mentors for cherishing us with their wisdom
and blessings.
