Testimonial – NHS Clinical Fellowship, Department of Orthopaedics, Calderdale Royal Hospital
I completed a two-week clinical fellowship in the Department of Orthopaedics at Calderdale Royal Hospital, Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, from 22 June to 3 July 2026.
As a Senior Resident in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Sports Injury Centre, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, with a focus on sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery, I found the theatre observership highly valuable — closely following the consultant's arthroscopic technique and operative decision-making, as well as the NHS's structured approach to pre-operative briefings and multidisciplinary theatre coordination.
I am grateful to the orthopaedic team at Calderdale Royal Hospital for their generosity in teaching. This fellowship meaningfully contributed to my professional development and broadened my perspective on international best practice in sports orthopaedics.
