Dr. Pushpinder Bajaj and Dr. Jatinder Singla

I would like to start by thanking Dr. Pushpinder Bajaj and his team for the Max Mohali travelling fellowship opportunity, under the most wonderful Dr. Jatinder sir at Max Super speciality Hospital, Mohali.

During my fellowship from September 2nd to 16th, 2024, I was lucky enough to witness and assist in a plethora of cases ranging from total knee replacements, revision surgeries, and hip replacements to robotic total knee replacements, hand surgeries, trauma surgeries, etc. Dr. Singla’s Mid vastus/Sub vastus approach to the knee was a new learning experience for me, and the highly inspiring postoperative outcomes of the cases were a game changer. Dr. Singla made sure that my curiosity was piqued and all my questions, however basic, were answered with utmost sincerity, not just in the OT but in the OPD as well. Dr. Singla’s personal journey and complete entourage were personally very inspiring for me. I left the hospital at the end of the fellowship, not just with surgical experience but also in awe of the personality Sir had and how grounded and homely he was. This mentorship will be truly transformative for my career.

I would also like to thank Dr. Singla’s dedicated team, including Dr. Shiv, Dr. Abhishek, Komal, Anshu, Gurdeep Paaji, and GP Paaji, for making me feel welcome.

Once again, I extend my sincere thanks to Dr. Bajaj, Dr. Singla, and the entire ISKSAA team. I look forward to further opportunities to contribute to the field and build on the knowledge I have gained through this fellowship.
