I am immensely honored to have been awarded the esteemed ISKSAA Australia Travelling Fellowship in May 2025. My heartfelt gratitude goes to Dr. Pushpinder Bajaj, Dr. Lalit Maini, and the entire ISKSAA team for granting me this exceptional opportunity.

As one of only two candidates representing distinct regions of India, we each brought our own diverse experiences and perspectives. Our fellowship allowed us to engage with four prominent hospitals: Ashford Hospital, Western Hospital, Calvary Central District Hospital, and Memorial Hospital in Adelaide.

The program's core focus was on Arthroplasty of the hip, knee, and shoulder, alongside arthroscopy techniques for the knee and shoulder. With guidance from our distinguished mentor, Prof Jegan Krishnan, a leading expert in the field, I had the privilege of observing an array of intricate procedures. These included Direct Anterior Total Hip Arthroplasty, Mini-posterior Total Hip Arthroplasty, Primary and Revision Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty, Robotic Knee Replacement, and Rotator Cuff Repairs, all under the supervision of Prof Jegan and his exceptional team of consultants.

This fellowship was an invaluable experience. Prof Jegan Krishnan, along with Dr. Sunil Reddy, Dr. Aman Sood, Dr. Bobby Pandit, and Dr Mario Penta, went above and beyond to ensure that our four weeks were not only educational but also enjoyable. We were granted the invaluable opportunity to scrub in for close clinical observation in every procedure. The entire team welcomed us with open arms, making us feel like integral members of their group, actively involving us in interdepartmental discussions and pre-operative planning.

In summary, I am deeply appreciative of ISKSAA for providing such a remarkable opportunity to learn extensively in a condensed timeframe. This fellowship has significantly enriched my knowledge and skills, offering insights that I am eager to implement in my own practice.
