ISKSAA BLK MAX DELHI TRAVELLING FELLOWSHIP 2024
I am delighted to share my experience of completing the ISKSAA-BLK Max New Delhi Fellowship in Lower Limb Arthroplasty and Arthroscopy under the mentorship of Dr. Bhushan Nariani in December 2024. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Pushpinder Bajaj, Dr. Lalit Maini and the entire ISKSAA team for this invaluable opportunity and their unwavering support throughout the process, from application to selection.
During the two-week fellowship, I observed and assisted in a significant number of Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) cases, Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA), and knee arthroscopy surgeries, including complex revision TKA, revision TKA and periprosthetic trauma cases. Witnessing the intricacies of robotic-assisted knee replacements was particularly enlightening, showcasing the precision and efficiency this technology brings to modern arthroplasty.
The mentorship of Dr. Bhushan Nariani, along with Dr. Shivam Tiwari and Dr. Suryakant Singh, was exceptional. Their detailed explanations and patient guidance helped refine my understanding of surgical nuances and biomechanics. The state-of-the-art operating theatre at BLK Max Hospital, with its seamless coordination and high surgical volume, provided an unparalleled learning environment.
Beyond surgical exposure, the camaraderie with fellow participants added another dimension to this enriching experience. The insights gained from interactions with peers and the hospital team have broadened my perspective and strengthened my practice.
I wholeheartedly recommend this fellowship to all surgeons pursuing arthroscopy and arthroplasty. It has been a privilege to learn under such accomplished mentors and to deepen my knowledge in lower limb arthroplasty and arthroscopy.
