ISKSAA LIVERPOOL UK TRAVELLING FELLOWSHIP 2025
Respected Sir,
I am writing to formally submit my fellowship completion report and to express my deepest gratitude to ISKSAA for granting me the opportunity to attend the prestigious ISKSAA International Fellowship at Arrowe Park Hospital, Wirral University Teaching Hospital, Liverpool, United Kingdom, under the guidance of Mr. Bhalaik.
The fellowship, which took place from 30th June 2025 to 13th July 2025, proved to be a highly enriching and transformative experience. I had the privilege of observing a wide array of advanced orthopaedic procedures including navigation-assisted surgeries, complex revision arthroplasties, and joint replacement techniques. The exposure to modern technology and evidence-based protocols significantly deepened my understanding of current best practices in orthopaedic surgery.
Mr. Bhalaik’s mentorship was exceptional—his patient-centered approach, surgical acumen, and willingness to teach were truly inspiring. I also had the opportunity to observe eminent consultants such as Dr. Brooks, Dr. Robinson, and Dr. Morris, whose expertise further enhanced the learning experience.
The environment was not only academically stimulating but also warm and welcoming. I particularly appreciate the hospitality extended by the entire department, especially Dr. Gavinder, who played a key role in making our stay smooth and pleasant.
While it was primarily an observership, I would like to humbly mention that the opportunity to scrub in would have further elevated the learning experience. That said, the fellowship was immensely valuable and has had a lasting impact on my clinical perspective and future aspirations.
I carry back with me not just surgical knowledge, but also a deeper appreciation for professionalism, patient care, and international standards in orthopaedics. I remain committed to applying these insights in my practice in India and sharing them with my colleagues and students.
I thank ISKSAA once again for this wonderful opportunity and look forward to staying associated with the organization in the future.
With warm regards and best wishes,
Dr. Chandrasen Chaughule
