I had the privilege of undertaking the ISKSAA Birmingham Patellofemoral Orthopedic Fellowship under the esteemed mentorship of Prof. Dr. Tanweer Ashraf. This fellowship proved to be a transformative experience, both professionally and personally.

Prof. Ashraf’s depth of knowledge in patellofemoral pathology, surgical precision, and commitment to evidence-based practice were truly inspiring. His hands-on mentorship, combined with his patience and clarity in teaching complex surgical techniques, made every operative session an invaluable learning opportunity.

During my time at Birmingham, I was exposed to a high volume of complex patellofemoral cases, including realignment procedures, cartilage restoration techniques, and revision surgeries. The structured academic environment, weekly case discussions, and interdisciplinary collaboration added to the comprehensive nature of the training.

I am sincerely grateful to Prof. Ashraf for his unwavering support, mentorship, and the generous sharing of his clinical wisdom. The fellowship has not only enhanced my surgical skills but also deepened my understanding of patellofemoral biomechanics and long-term patient outcomes.

I am also very thankful to Dr. Pushpinder Bajaj for giving me this opportunity and whole hearted support in all aspects to make this fellowship a success and I could attend the Great North Debate under collaboration with ISKSAA at Leeds and presented a paper.
