"ISKSAA WRIGHTINGTON TRAVELLING UPPER LIMB FELLOWSHIP UK (2 weeks,(1st to 14 October 2024 )under DR PUNEET MONGA " report-

I am highly obliged to ISKSAA for providing me opportunity as upper limb surgery fellowship at Wrightington hospital UK, under renowned surgeon Dr Puneet Monga.

My journey from getting selected for fellowship, getting passport, visa, travelling, stay in UK was an absolutely different & wonderful experience. As we landed in Manchester , weather was cold as compared to hot summer in India. We used to stay at Wigan,and travelled to visit hospital by buses on bee network.Bus services were good and on time.Wrightington hospital is situated in very pleasant stretch of open countryside.Wrightington hospital is center of excellence in orthopaedic surgery as first ever hip replacement operations done by surgeon Sir John Charnley at Wrightington hospital.

2 weeks fellowship programme was very well planned and ot list was provided to us each day to guide us for variety of cases.Everyday there were shoulder replacement cases, and I was able to see customized shoulder replacement. The upper limb unit is very supportive, special thanks to DrPuneetMonga sir was my course guide he gave us the opportunity to discuss the preop cases that were Planned for our tenure. And allowed us to see reverse shoulder replacement Had the opportunity to attend the other stalwarts ot special thanks to Dr.bale,Dr walton,Dr.Raj murali sir,dr sumedh talwakar sir he gave us opportunities to attend his case which included CMC replacement,wrist replacement,wrist arthroscopy and pip joint replacement.

We had a tour to beautiful London city, Manchester,Liverpool football club on weekends. ISKSAA WRIGHTINGTON fellowship was a wonderful and lifetime experience personally as well as professionally learned a lot. My sincere thanks to my mentor Dr Pushpinder Bajaj sir, Dr Lalit Maini, Dr Puneet monga and ISKSAA team.ISKSAA provides us the very good opportunity to explore and learn new horizons in orthopaedic.
