I have completed my ISKSAA Wrightington Travelling Fellowship 2019 from 4-17 November, 2019 under supervision of Mr. Lennard Funk.
Kindly consider this mail as fellowship report.
I joined upper limb Unit at Wrightington hospital on Monday; 4 November went through their Outdoor clinics and theatres respectively with Mr. Funk and his registrar.
I saw Arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, reverse bankart and bankart repair, Subscapularis repair, Total shoulder and reverse shoulder replacement, Latarjet procedure, proximal and distal biceps repair, triceps repair at elbow, Arthroscopic elbow debridement, radial head replacement.
I also saw revision surgeries as revision reverse shoulder and revision elbow replacement.
I attended outdoor clinics with Mr. L. Funk and observed his approach towards shoulder pathologies, their examination and his approach in designing a patient specific treatment plan.
I am grateful to Mr. Funk and entire upper limb unit of Wrightington Hospital for wonderful last two weeks. Specially Mr. K. Swamy, Mr. P. Moonga, Mr. A. Watts, Mr. M. Walton and Mr. Bates for allowing me to visit their theaters and giving useful tips as and when required.
I am obliged to Mr. Hari, Mr. Rishi & Mr. Ricks for their kind support and cooperation.
I would like to express gratitude to you and entire ISKSAA organisation for giving me this opportunity which has left a metamorphic effect on my practise which I can cherish for a long time.
I appreciate efforts of ISKSAA for providing such opportunities in training of young surgeons like me which help us in sharpening our surgical skills and obtaining experiences from senior surgeons of different speciality.
