I would like to thank,Dr. Pushpinder Bajaj , Dr. Lalit Maini and the ISKSAA team for giving me the opportunity to undertake the ISKSAA-BLK MAX travelling fellowship under Dr Bhushan Nariani. They provided guidance at every step of the process- starting from the application till the interview and selection.

Joining was a smooth process, with regular communication from BLK MAX hospital. Documentation was done beforehand on emails. After joining, We met the associate and assistant consultants and the residents of the team. They all were very welcoming and explained about the daily routine. On an average, 16-18 cases were done in a day. We got to witness a huge volume of Total knee arthroplasty cases along with Total hip arthroplasty, knee arthroscopy surgeries. We were also lucky enough to encounter a lot of complex revision total knee arthroplasty cases during our tenure. We were lucky to get a chance to observe Dr Bhushan Nariani , Dr Shivam Tiwari and Dr Suryakant Singh. Following day I started scrubbing in the cases and got a first hand experience of a well oiled replacement team. As the days passed, I got more and more confident in the subject and understood the steps more.Dr. Bhushan Naraini and Dr Shivam cleared my all doubt and cleared my all concept of total knee arthroplasty also brought our attention to the various intricate yet integral steps of surgery, previously ignored or overlooked. I also got an opportunity to observe and assistant revision TKR and infected TKR management. At then end of 15 days, I have only one regret that I dint get more time to spend with the team.

The almost fatherly care provided by Dr. Bhushan Nariani sir during our fellowship cannot be acknowledged just in a few words. A big thanks to the whole of BLK MAX team for taking care of us."
