Travel and accomodation- There is no airport in cattolica as such,so take a flight to a nearby major city and travel via train or public transport to the city.

Accomodation – I had booked an apartment which was walking distance from the hospital There are options available on various platforms for the same. Overall the city is walkable and getting around should not be a problem.

Testimonial-I would like to thank Dr Bajaj Sir and ISKSAA, for providing me this opportunity to learn from one of the best centers across the world.The fellowship was a great experience and a bonanza of shoulder surgery. The centre is a dedicated unit for shoulder and elbow cases with majority being shoulder surgery. It is headed by Dr Paolo Paladini who is a very acclaimed shoulder surgeon. There is a team of other surgeons along with him doing the cases.

Average number of cases to expect would be 40 per week (approx 8-10 daily with double the list on one day), so it is a very high volume center .

Case wise there were plenty of reverse shoulder(daily 1-2),all kinds of shoulder arthroscopy cases which are majority of the workload (daily 5-7), laterjet, anatomical arthroplasty with some shoulder trauma and ac joint trauma cases. All conditions in shoulder are treated at the center , so rare cases and revision cases can also be seen.Shoulder arthroscopy is done in lateral,while other cases are in beach chair position.

The faculty will take interest in teaching and are very cordial and approachable regarding questions and doubts. Dr Paladini, Dr Giovanni , Dr Antonio, Dr Giuseppe were especially giving step wise and detailed explanations of the cases and in the opd.

My previous basic and relevant exposure in shoulder surgery helped to understand the nuances and techniques better and I feel a basic understanding and exposure to shoulder surgery is better to make optimum use of this opportunity.
