ISKSAA LANCASHIRE UK TRAVELLING FELLOWSHIP 2022

I, Dr. Nishant Bhatia would like to sincerely thank Dr. Pushpinder Bajaj sir and Dr. Lalit Maini sir along with whole ISKSAA team for providing me the opportunity to pursue ISKSAA Lancashire Fellowship at Royal Blackburn Hospital and Burnley General Hospital (UK)

As a fellow I was placed with Mr. Makaram Srinivasan and got to assist in many upper limb arthroscopy and arthroplasty cases especially around shoulder joint. I also got the opportunity to interact and assist with other consultants in Orthopaedics department of the above two hospitals. The experience was a pretty good one as I learned some new technical updates and understood how the practice differs from what I have been doing.

I also got to assist in knee arthorplasties and arthroscopic surgeries along with other consultants. The whole department is keen on teaching and sharing their knowledge & experience with the fellows especially Dr. Makaram Srinivasan.

I am grateful to the whole ISKSAA team for giving me a delightful and memorable experience of 1 month (Dec 2023) in UK. I returned to India with a new insight about managing arthroplasty and arthroscopy cases especially in complex scenarios.

I would like to recommend this fellowship to all aspiring surgeons who want to learn and refine their skills in arthroplasty and arthroscopic surgery.
