If knee is a playground, Dr. Bajaj is its MS. Dhoni – super calm, composed, perfectly articulated surgical management and a fabulous teacher – all in one perfection.

It was a golden opportunity that came to me when I got the mail to join sir from the waiting list of 2016 ISKSAA interviews. I have relished every moment spent with sir during my stay as a fellow. Sir has a mastery over all the surgeries as well as patient management and teaching. Not once have I seen him angry or troubled. He always taught whenever he was in a case and answered to all the queries you have, even if they were silly.

The fellowship involved perioperative management of patients and exposing me mainly to knee arthroscopy and arthroplasty and also cases of shoulder and trauma. The day usually started early in the morning as sir prefers to operate early, when Delhi is calm. I got to participate fully in the operating room and afterwards. Physiotherapy department is fully equipped and well staffed with perfect rehabilitation results. Sir also helped me to attend many cases with other eminent surgeons of various fields. In addition, he also arranged arthroscopy model for me and I got oriented to knee arthroscopy very well with practice and some hands-on experience, which infused lots of confidence in me.

In summary, it was a wonderful experience for me. I would like to thank all the patients whom I interacted with, Dr. Maini, Dr. Joshi, Dr. Raina, Dr. Ovesh, Dr. Sowmiya, Mahinder, Bharat, Ravi and other supportive staff of clinic and other centers who were helpful to me throughout. I am thankful to Dr. Bajaj for this opportunity and look forward to working with sir again.
