At start I would like to thank Dr Amol Tambe, Dr Pushpinder Bajaj and Dr Lalit Maini. ISKSAA has provided a platform where only on the basis of your own academic qualification you get an opportunity for a fellowship in which you can learn from the stalwart of the field.

It all started from ISKSAA global summit 2017 in Chandigarh where I was interviewed by Dr Amol Tambe and I got what I was searching for many years an international fellowship. I was over joyed and it was beginning of one of the most beautiful journey of my life.

ISKSAA team was in constant touch with me and they helped a lot in every aspect, they replied promptly whenever I was in any doubt. I was accompanied by another fellow Dr Rahul and whole process of arranging everything became easy for us.

We took flight from Delhi and reached Birmingham on 3rd july in evening and from there we took train to Derby, where we had booked an Airbnb house. Our fellowship started from 4^th July and ended after 2 weeks.

First day started with our initial interaction with team of Dr Amol Tambe. His secretory helped us in getting our ID cards made. Then started our academic fest. We accompanied Dr Tambe in clinics where he initially taught us how he approached patients of shoulder injury. Then he discussed every patient with us and it was fun making diagnosis with him. Here I would like to add I did not had much exposure of shoulder before this, but Dr Amol taught us from basic.

In in OT we got chance to see reverse shoulder and total shoulder replacement on regular basis. Then Dr Amol operated many arthroscopic cases like rotator cuff repair, Bankart’s repair, graft jacket and ballooning etc. I got all the knowledge of shoulder surgery, Dr Amol taught us knots of arthroscopic surgery. There were other surgeons from whom we got to know subtle differences in approach to the patient like Dr Cresswell, Dr David Clark and Dr Espag.

We also got opportunity to see other cases of hip, knee and ankle surgery. It was all because of Dr Amol he managed everything for us. I would specially like to thank Dr Prashanth, he managed everything for us as he was working with
Dr Amol as registrar.

I would like to recommend everyone to join ISKSAA as they will have ample opportunity to get a fellowship. If anyone is interested in shoulder surgery they must apply for Derby fellowship as they will immensely benefit from this.
