I take this opportunity to Congratulate team ISKSAA for a successful GLOBAL SUMMIT LEEDS UK 2018.

I am grateful to Dr. Pushpinder Bajaj and ISKSAA for selecting me to a 2 week fellowship in the shoulder unit at Royal Derby Hospital, UK under very able guidance of Mr. Amol Tambe. This is a teaching hospital located in city of derby, UK with busy orthopedic department. The upper limb unit has four senior surgeons managing all trauma, arthroscopic, sport medicine and joint replacements and the unit manages almost 50 surgeries per week. The hospital has 8 dedicated theatres for orthopedics with highly trained nursing and technical staff and almost every instrument and implant available on the shelf.

Dr. Amol Tambe is very warm, energetic, methodical, and takes keen interest in teaching. Dr. Tambe is always ready to assist and ensures that every day spent in the hospital adds to our knowledge and wisdom. We accompanied him to OPDs where we learnt schematic approach to an upper limb patient and necessity of history and clinical examination for precise diagnosis. He allowed us to closely watch every surgery and explained pros and cons of the procedures. He never let us feel out of place and was always seen trying to arrange observation of various surgical procedures for us.

This course has been a great learning experience with a wonderful host in Dr. Amol Tambe. I would definitely take the opportunity to visit him again.
