ISKSAA MOHALI 3 MONTHS FELLOWSHIP 2022
To start with ,I would like to express my sincere thanks and regards to Dr Pushpinder Singh Bajaj , president of ISKSAA for his unforgettable help and cooperation for acquiring this fellowship . I would also like to convey my gratitude and regards to Prof Ravi Gupta for all the help and guidance to make my stay comfortable ,meaningful and fruitful at Fortis Hospital ,Mohali and Paras health ,panchkula ,Haryana in terms of both academic and social affairs.
As a matter of fact ,preparation of fellowship program was begun approximately 2-3 months in advance .I encountered visa issues in the beginning.however I overcome the issues soon .I reached Fortis hospital, Mohali on time and finished my official formalities followed by joining the fellowship.I had a good accommodation in Chandigarh at Government guest house by the kind grace of Professor Ravi Gupta.
Fellowship program was incredibly chalked out to encompass entire gamut of arthroscopy comprising different pathologies of knee,shoulder,elbow and ankle.Prof Ravi Gupta was electrifying in pouring his robust surgical expertise,tons of academic experience and has always patronized my well-being professionally and personally in all sorts of conditions. He was very kind to incorporate various kinds of state of the art technology to upgrade my experience
All through the program , Professor Ravi Gupta would pick me up from the guest house in very early morning for the Fortis hospital,Mohali and Paras health ,panchkula,Haryana and back to guest house in the evening .In fact,I had the unique opportunity to observe surgeries initially and subsequently assisting surgeries, taking part in OPD program and ward round .Ravi Gupta sir is very much patient friendly .Professor Ravi Gupta is very much involved in social works and I had the opportunity to take part in several such programs.The almost fatherly care provided by Prof Ravi Gupta during my fellowship can not be acknowledged just in a few words.He organized a beautiful dinner on his marriage anniversary in which I took part.
Research was an integral part of our fellowship where we spent considerable time in designing our systemic reviews at Fortis hospital.To be honest, ProfessorRavi Gupta demonstrated the tips and tricks of formulating research project.
I also enjoyed the weekends during the course nicely, roaming about in and around Chandigarh specifically visiting Shimla, Himachal Pradesh ,Golden temple ,Amritsar and Chandigarh Rose Garden.
As a whole,the fellowship was very valuable which not only exposed me to the less known aspects of arthroscopy but also refined my knowledge and skills in these areas for the Improvement of patient care.Absolutely, I thank prof Ravi Gupta who is a great teacher and researcher and philosopher who is an inventor of unique technique of ACL reconstruction,PCL reconstruction ,LCL and MCL reconstruction. I am very much indebted to ISKSAAand moreover to Dr Pushpinder Sing Bajaj sir for providing me such an unique and unparalleled opportunity. I promise to follow the teachings and pass them onto my fellow colligue in future.
