ISKSAA PUNJAB TRAVELLING FELLOWSHIP 2019
I am Dr Afzaal Rafeeq Ansari, consultant orthopaedic surgeon from Lucknow Uttar Pradesh.It gives me immense pleasure to share the experience of my fellowship with you all.
I am grateful to ISKSAA for having given me the prestigious opportunity of Spending time at one of the prestigious and busiest centres in India.I was trained under the diligent guidence of Dr Avtar Singh.
Dr Avtar Singh is an excellent teacher and an exemplary in his field. It was a great opportunity getting assist him in theatre and learn from his years of experience.I actively participated in several surgical procedures including total knee and hip replacement. I participated in revision knee and hip arthroplasty also.It gave me immense pleasure for me to be a part of robotic knee arthroplasty.
I shall carry the tips and tricks from Dr Avtar Singh back home with me in the long terms. Patients friendly and dedicated environment in the hospital under which patients were being managed all round the year impressed me most.
Overall the fellowship was a transforming experience for me at a crucial point in my career. I thank ISKSAA and team Amandeep particularly Dr Avtar Singh and Dr K. K .Singh, Dr Rajeev Vohra for the fellowship and look forward to coming again in the future.
