TESTIMONIAL
I was very excited to see the results of ISKSAA Ganga 2015 fellowship where I was selected as a visiting fellow to Woodend Hospital, Scotland in the subspeciality in which I was very much interested in -shoulder arthroscopy and arthroplasty. I would like to thank the ISKSAA organization wholeheartedly for giving me this opportunity. I would also take this opportunity to thank entire team of ISKSAA for letting young orthopedicians like me to visit many places around the world and learn lot of aspects in arthroplasty and arthroscopy.
Scotland, we all know is a heavenly place to visit. I was fortunate enough to have been called in the month of June for fellowship since weather was beautiful. Accomodation was well arranged at staff home by Woodend hospital without any problems. Since I reached Aberdeen few days before the commencement of my fellowship, I could visit few places in and around Aberdeen with lot of joy which was lovely place. On my first day of fellowship, I met Mr Kapil Kumar who was our chief coordinator for the fellowship. He programmed our fellowship in a way to get exposures to maximum number of cases. Everyday we would observe surgeries done by many consultants. Since we were interested in shoulder surgeries, Mr Kapil Kumar gave us opportunity to observe many shoulder arthroscopies and arthroplasties. It was thorough learing for us over a period of two weeks.
Words are less to describe Mr Kapil Kumar. He is very approachable, down to earth,energetic, great teacher and surgeon. He made our fellowship quite academic and memorable. I would also show my gratitude towards long term fellows working there- Dr Raghavendra, Dr Samarth and Dr Abhinandan. It was cherishable good times we all spent together. Entire staff of Woodend hospital was friendly. Overall it was great time during fellowship academically and socially. Dinner at end of fellowship with my co-fellow Dr Abhinav and Mr Kapil Kumar was really special moment.
