ISKSAA ABERDEEN TRAVELLING FELLOWSHIP 2015

I would like to thank ISKSAA for this wonderful opportunity. I was excited and really looking forward to this fellowship since beginning. I thank Dr. Pushpinder Bajaj for guiding me and answering my queries despite of having a busy schedule.

I landed in Aberdeen on 16th October, 2016. The weather was pleasantly chilly. My chief coordinator Mr. Kapil Kumar helped me throughout. Mr. Kumar is a friendly and a helpful person. He is not only a fantastic clinician, but also a knowledgeable and meticulous surgeon. He rescheduled my program when I could not get my visa and helped me to arrange my stay.

Mr. Kumar made sure that I got the maximum exposure to all kinds of cases and taught and answered my question tirelessly. His approach to shoulder arthroscopy is straightforward and simple that even a novice like me grabbed the entire aspect of it. His technique of clinical examination of the shoulder is just wonderful. It is extensive yet less time consuming. He showed me the techniques of total shoulder and reverse shoulder arthroplasty. He complied with my request to see other specialties like foot and ankle, lower limb arthroplasty and musculoskeletal oncology.

I would like to thank Mr. Samarth Mittal, Dr. Abhinandan and Dr. Hem. They were always ready to help and made me feel like home. How can I forget delicious lunch and dinner!

I completely enjoyed my stay in Aberdeen. It polished my skills and helped me to be a better physician and surgeon.
