ISKSAA BIOTEK FELLOWSHIP 2015

At the onset, I would like to thank profusely ISKSAA for giving me this wonderful opportunity to attend this scientific program under the guidance of accomplished surgeons like Dr. Sanjay Trivedi and Dr.Kalpesh Trivedi.

My fellowship was a detailed one week programme from 2 nd May - 7th May 2016 at Ahmedabad. The hospitality which I experienced deserves a special mention which immediately comforted my initial nerves and enhanced my eagerness to learn.

As a keen observer I will say that every day was meticulously planned. For every case both the mentors involved us in pre operative planning and there was a thorough discussion over planned surgical steps. In one week I was fortunate to observe 25 different cases of knee and shoulder arthroscopies. The highlighting point was both the mentors made all the surgeries appear simple when done with right technique and precision. The discussions following the surgeries revealed many technical and practical nuances which are beyond textbooks.

All in all the whole week was power packed with lot of learning and was a great confidence booster. To get to learn from stalwarts like Dr.Sanjay Trivedi and Dr.Kalpesh Trivedi who are a beautiful blend of immense knowledge, proficiency and modesty is a real inspiration and privilege at the start of one's career.

This testimony would be incomplete without thanking Ms Shweta and entire Biotek team for their coordination of dates , hasslefree travel and accommodation.

I am certainly looking forward for many more such enriching experiences through ISKSAA.
